Summary of Initial Community Input

In the Fall of 2021 the City conducted two General Plan Update Visioning Workshops, which provided an opportunity for community members to identify key issues, challenges, and priorities that the City should address and consider as part of the General Plan Update. The City also hosted an online survey, which provided additional opportunities for input and participation.

The Outreach Summary Report (pdf) provides an overview of the outreach activities that have been conducted to date (Visioning Workshops, Online Survey, etc.) and includes a detailed summary of all of the public input received.

Additional opportunities for public input and participation will be provided during future stages of the General Plan Update process.

2023-2031 Public Review Draft Housing Element

The City of Hughson is pleased to share the 2023-2031 Public Review Draft Housing Element, which is available for review from July 29 through August 27, 2024.

The 2023-2031 Housing Element is a strategic document that is intended to outline Hughson’s vision and approach to addressing the diverse housing needs of the community. It is based on community input, a thorough assessment of housing needs, analysis of land availability and constraints, and incorporates lessons learned from previous housing plan implementations.

Residents and other individuals and organizations are invited to provide comments on the Draft Housing Element. Comments on the 2023-2031 Draft Housing Element can be provided in writing to the City at the address below, or by email to Carla Jauregui, Community Development Director at CJauregui@hughson.org, during the 30-day public review period, ending August 27, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
